The following bug has been CLOSED ====================================================================== http://bugs.bacula.org/bug_view_advanced_page.php?bug_id=0000442 ====================================================================== Reported By: tbannister Assigned To: ====================================================================== Project: bacula Bug ID: 442 Category: configure/build process Reproducibility: always Severity: trivial Priority: normal Status: closed ====================================================================== Date Submitted: 10-11-2005 13:06 PDT Last Modified: 11-24-2005 00:32 PST ====================================================================== Summary: Configure/Install with --enable-client-only installs extra files Description: I don't see any use for the following files in an "--enable-clients-only" install, yet they are installed anyway: /etc/bacula/startmysql /etc/bacula/stopmysql /etc/bacula/mtx-changer Further more, the console files should not be compiled or installed either unless user wants the console too. Which means that the following files probably shouldn't be installed either in an "enable-client-only" config: /etc/bacula/bconsole /etc/bacula/gconsole /sbin/bconsole /etc/bacula/bconsole.conf ====================================================================== ---------------------------------------------------------------------- kern - 11-24-2005 00:32 PST ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You are right, the first set of files (scripts) should not be installed. However, I have too many things to do, so fixing this will require someone to submit a patch. For the second set of files that you mention (bconsole and others), those files have been specifically added at user request, which is logical because often users are at a client machine and they should be able to interact with the Director possibly with a restricted console. It really isn't possible to do *everything* in an install.
