I am late to the game here, and just skimmed your email...

Are you aware that there is a new `when` option for RunScripts called `AtJobCompletion`?

This runs even after the `RunsWhen = after` option.

This new feature was added based on a request I had made to be able to mark a job as failed (for example), based on the 
exitcode of a script that runs at the end of the job.

Maybe this will be late enough in the process to do what you need?
