The following issue has been SUBMITTED. ====================================================================== http://bugs.bacula.org/view.php?id=1969 ====================================================================== Reported By: reznor Assigned To: ====================================================================== Project: bacula Issue ID: 1969 Category: Director Reproducibility: always Severity: feature Priority: low Status: new ====================================================================== Date Submitted: 2012-12-14 16:12 UTC Last Modified: 2012-12-14 16:12 UTC ====================================================================== Summary: Last/Only Full backup overwritten by differential Backup while in same pool Description: If there is only one pool for a job, differential (and probably incremental) backups overwrite full backups (respecting retention time). I am considering this is as a conceptional bug, a differential backup is meaningless without a full backup. Bacula should not recycle the last and only full backup if there is only one pool for the job. This way it is impossible to do only differential backups and let them be upgraded to full with the Directive "Max Full Interval" while using short retention periods and only one pool. At least this missing feature is dangerous. ====================================================================== Issue History Date Modified Username Field Change ====================================================================== 2012-12-14 16:12 reznor New Issue ====================================================================== |
