A NOTE has been added to this issue. ====================================================================== http://bugs.bacula.org/view.php?id=1824 ====================================================================== Reported By: Stephen Carr Assigned To: ====================================================================== Project: bacula Issue ID: 1824 Category: Director Reproducibility: have not tried Severity: minor Priority: normal Status: new ====================================================================== Date Submitted: 2012-01-24 04:05 UTC Last Modified: 2012-01-25 03:35 UTC ====================================================================== Summary: Bacula 5.2.4 Backup repeated if Warning issued and job is rescheduled. Description: Dear Bacula "Bacula: Backup Unknown term code of civengb2 Full" was reported for a windows client (laptop) that is rescheduled in the Jobdefs in case the client is not online. Even though the job ran it was rescheduled to run one hour later. I canceled the Job. This did not happen in version 5.2.3 but occurs in 5.2.4 See attached file bacula_5.2.4.txt has snippet of jobdefs.conf and emails from 5.2.3 and 5.2.4 Thanks Stephen Carr Additional Information: Could cause repeated Full backups as likely to occur on Full backups when all files are backed up in our case 3 times as jobs are rescheduled 2 times. Only laptops are rescheduled - workstations are not rescheduled. ====================================================================== ---------------------------------------------------------------------- (0006163) Stephen Carr (reporter) - 2012-01-25 03:35 http://bugs.bacula.org/view.php?id=1824#c6163 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Bacula developers I think the Bug should be raised to Major - the reason as can be seen in attached file bacula-5.4.4A.txt is a New Job is spawned and as a result repeated backups will occur. This is more likely to occur on Full backups ans as a result waste tape space and bandwidth.
