The following issue has been SUBMITTED. ====================================================================== http://bugs.bacula.org/view.php?id=1715 ====================================================================== Reported By: craigmiskell Assigned To: ====================================================================== Project: bacula Issue ID: 1715 Category: Documentation Reproducibility: N/A Severity: text Priority: normal Status: new ====================================================================== Date Submitted: 2011-03-23 21:26 GMT Last Modified: 2011-03-23 21:26 GMT ====================================================================== Summary: Prune <X> documentation for Jobs is incorrect Description: All three Prune <X> options contain the text "If this directive is specified (not normally) and the value is yes, it will override the value specified in the Pool resource. The default is no". However, having looked at the code, this is incorrect. For PruneFiles and PruneJobs, these values are either set on the job or not, and no attention is paid to the Pool setting of AutoPrune. However having the client AutoPrune set to "yes" will cause the jobs or files to be pruned PruneVolumes is correct (set to yes on the job, or AutoPrune yes on the pool, will cause auto pruning of volumes). Additional Information: Suggested fix is to change "Pool" to "Client" for the PruneFiles and PruneJobs sections. ====================================================================== Issue History Date Modified Username Field Change ====================================================================== 2011-03-23 21:26 craigmiskell New Issue ====================================================================== |
