ah, thats exactly the information I needed.
is it possible to specify those ports on per machine,
so I can have a dozend A machines backed up by C via
port forwarding on B? (each with it's own port forwarded
by B?)

security. a final solution could be to have a standalone backup
solution on every network. but for now I need a cheap solution
(i.e. less backup systems than unconnected networks) as an interim
solution.
