No, but the first thing I'd try is to start up bsmtp, weof the tape, then label it with bsmtp, then remount it with Bacula. If you really want to be safe, run a bsmtp test on the tape. I had to toss a VXA tape recently because it developed read errors in the header block of the first tape file, but it didn't show up on write. (After ... oh my ... about five years of use, I should probably replace my entire tape pool, but I can't afford to.) -- .********* Fight Back!
