No and Yes. There is no precompiled bacula-sd for Irix only the =
bacula-fd.

So you can backup files from the machine but not use its tape drive.

Unless... You compile the source yourself for Irix which is not =
impossible
as this has been done for the FD but it is not simple as Irix has a lot =
of
Free SGI libraries.

I can't remember who our Irix expert is but if you look on Source Forge =
I'm
sure it will tell you who created the fd client.

We have many O2's here and x86 Linux and IMHO I would put R2D2 in the =
skip
and put your SCSI tape on a linux box.

I have a SGI O2 (Irix Version 6.5) running bacula-fd (Version 1.32d).

My tape unit model is a std 8000e-s.

When I try to start bacula-fd I have the following error:

bash: /usr/local/bacula/sbin/bacula-sd: cannot execute binary file

I am a new Linux user, but I saw inside bacula web site the following=20
information:

Irix Client (File daemon) (implemented but production testing not=20
confirmed).

It=B4s possible to use my tape unit in my O2 server??
