I have noticed that with the Windows client (1.32-f4) that files that are "moved" onto a filesystem that Bacula backs up are not backed up if the files were created before the last successful incremental backup was completed. For instance, say I have Bacula set up to run a daily incremental backup, and I take some pictures with my digital camera on Sunday. On Tuesday, (after at least on successful incremental backup) I "move" them onto the Windows machine. Bacula will never back up these files until the next Full backup. I don't know too much about how mtime, or the equivalent, works on Windows, but I would assume that if bacula sees a file in a directory that it doesn't have in the catalog that it should back it up during an incremental regardless of its creation/modification time. Is this incorrect? Greg |
