As far as FreeBSD is concerned: I think this list is probably the best place for FreeBSD/Bacula questions since there are a number of us here who use the combination in multiple production environments. Perhaps a quick poll of the list to see what the distribution of operating systems in use would be useful. Port maintainers can't be expected to help with every problem, when I was maintaining ports I had little time for other things between that, work and a social life.
