Thanks very much for your answer, and also to Mark.

Now I think i understand the role for server. It act like a simulator 
for physical devices.

There is another question need your help:

I can only set the device id for the server demo. Could I add some 
objects, properties, etc.? If could, how to do this? I cannot find any 
documents for this.
