It depends what you call a release.   I consider it released as 0.63rc1.

Since it isn't just Perl code (there's quite a chunk of C in there)
things like architectures may present issues so it would be really
good to get some feedback.

At the moment I don't know how many people have actually used it.  At
least two if you look at the mailing list posts.  One of those is me. :)

Bear in mind that in 0.62 the bundled zlib doesn't need to be compiled.
