How can I tell what is happening there? It's a bug and I just checked in a fix to CVS. Also, I fixed a couple of other rsync bugs and there is a new File::RsyncP version 0.30 on SourceForge. If you download the latest BackupPC CVS it will insist you use File::RsyncP 0.30. > Are you planning to allow compression as an option for the rsync > command or should I put it in the ssh command issued for the > remote sites? No, no plans for rsync compression. If you want to submit the changes I'm happy to merge it. But in the meantime ssh compression is the best choice. By the way, the latest rsync 2.5.6 includes an optional patch from me that significantly improves performance, especially on cygwin/WinXX. Craig |
