Hi I m trying to evalute backuppc and my backup just doesn t start My server is Redhat 7.1 machine my client is a redhat 7.2 roswell machine. the server seems to run fine i telnet to the admin port and can see various information for example status info %Info = ('startTime' => 1002114849,'nextWakeup' => '1002117600','Version' => '1.01','ConfigModTime' => 1002114780,'pid' => 28018); status jobs %Jobs = (' trashClean ' => {'cmd' => '/usr/local/bin/BackupPC_trashClean','fn' => 5,'reqTime' => 1002114849,'startTime' => 1002114849,'fh' => *::FH,'processState' => 'idle','mesg' => '','type' => undef,'pid' => 28019}); status hosts %Status = ('3858L' => {'state' => 'idle'},' trashClean ' => {'state' => 'link running','endTime' => 1002114849,'activeJob' => 1},' admin ' => {'state' => 'idle','endTime' => 1002115322,'activeJob' => 0}); Then i have defined one hosts i can see the client nmblookup 3858L querying 3858L on 157.159.21.255 157.159.21.110 3858L<00> The machine is in the dhcp range i defined $Conf{DHCPAddressRanges} = [ { ipAddrBase => "157.159.21", first => 100, last => 200, }, ]; the host file is this one # # The first non-comment line gives the field names and should not be edited!! # host dhcp user # <--- do not edit this line 3858L 1 Eri...@in... #farside 0 craig # <--- example static IP host entry #larson 1 bill # <--- example DHCP host entry the smbclient call under the backup user just work fine on the client share but Nothing happen when i telnet to the administrative port and issue the backup all command. the log in the server is this one 2001/10/3 15:14:07 Got signal TERM... cleaning up 2001/10/3 15:14:09 BackupPC started, pid 28018 2001/10/3 15:14:09 Running BackupPC_trashClean (pid=28019) 2001/10/3 15:14:09 Next wakeup is 2001/10/3 16:00:00 2001/10/3 15:14:19 Running BackupPC_queueAll (pid=28023) 2001/10/3 15:14:19 Finished admin (BackupPC_queueAll) 2001/10/3 15:22:02 Running BackupPC_queueAll (pid=28115) 2001/10/3 15:22:02 Finished admin (BackupPC_queueAll) and there s nothing in the client directory no logs Can someone help me?
