I'm getting a problem with the dump process. The machine locks up completely with a kernel panic. I am not sure if it is a kernel issue, hardware, or BackupPC. I get the same type of error on 2.6.17.6, 2.6.16.18, and the default slackware 10.2 kernel, 2.4.31. I have also tried BackupPC 2.1.2 and 3.0.0beta1 (currently using now). It is writing to a software raid array, pulling data from Windows machines with the cygwin rsyncd program locally and over a T1. Here is what I see on the screen: Bad page state in process 'BackupPC_dump' Page:c1171320 flags:0x80010008 mapping:00880000 mapcount:0 count:0 Trying to fix it up, but a reboot is needed Backtrace: CPU 0: Machine Check Exception: 0000000000000004 Bank 2: f2002000000000863 Bank 4: 946ac00100000813 at 0000000037ddbff0 Kernel panic - not syncing: CPU context corrupt I've searched the sf lists, there was one instance of this in May for BackupPC_tarExt.
