Hi, I have three laptops to back up. Sometimes they are connected via wireless and sometimes they are wired in. Each network adapter has a dhcp reservation on the router so that I can hard code the IP addresses into the /etc/hosts file on the backuppc server. However I have to manually edit this file every time a laptop switches from wireless to wired to change the hostname's IP address. What's the best way to set and forget this and allow backuppc to back up the laptops no matter what IP address they have? I don't want to have to edit this file all the time. Thanks, Mark. |
