I found the problem. All my host config files were based upon a template I created a while ago. That template used double-quotes on the user command lines in the config file and thus were subject to Perl variable replacement. The BackupPC variables where being turned in to empty strings before BackupPC used the content of the strings. Erik Meitner wrote: >I have two servers with BackupPC V2.1.1 installed.
