Running into similar problems here also. Once client is Windows 2000 (using rsyncd) and the other is Linux. The Linux box was backing up for quite some time with no problem and then it started aborting the same as the Windows 2000 which has never yet completed a backup. I ran 'BackupPC_dump -fv servername' on the Linux box last night and it aborted with ALRM again during it. The log entries end with: pollChild(0) Sending csums, cnt = 11, phase = 1 /opt/backups/pc/servername/100/f%2froot/fservername-20041104.tar.gz cache = , invalid = , phase = 1 Sending csums for servername-20041104.tar.gz (size=221179635) pollChild(1) Child is sending done Got done from child Got stats: 4269700286 3752712549 3815511853 0 ('errorCnt' => 0,'ExistFileSize' => 255761421,'ExistFileCnt' => 1449,'TotalFileCnt' => 1452,'ExistFileCompSize' => 234574517,'TotalFileSize' => 255803359) finish: removing in-process file mysql_backup/bak.mysql.2005-02-21_02.15.06_.tar.gz attribWrite(dir=f%2froot/mysql_backup) -> /opt/backups/pc/servername/new/f% 2froot/fmysql_backup/attrib attribWrite(dir=f%2froot) -> /opt/backups/pc/servername/new/f%2froot/attrib attribWrite(dir=) -> /opt/backups/pc/servername/new//attrib Child is aborting Got exit from child Done: 1452 files, 255803359 bytes Got fatal error during xfer (aborted by signal=ALRM) Backup aborted by user signal dump failed: aborted by signal=ALRM link servername As with yours, the logs on the client server show nothing other than the logout. I am assuming the problem on the Windoze server are similar to what's causing this on the Linux box. Any ideas as to where to look next to resolve this problem? Chris |
