[babelchat-help] Other translating chat programs

[Joseph E. V. Jr. <joe...@gm...>]

Hope this mailing list is still active! I stumbled across the Babelchat
program while surfing the Web. I wanted to mention that I had seen
something like this before. The MITRE Corporation is a defense firm that
developed something called TrIM, Translating Instant Messenger. I don't
know a lot about it, but it's supposed to do something similar to Babelchat.
Try going to www.mitre.org and searching for TrIM (or maybe for CT2). I
know MITRE has sometimes been a proponent of free software, but I don't know
if they've released the source code for TrIM. There might be something
there you could use or someone who could help.

Good luck!
