hi, just did a fresh cvs checkout and while the usual ./gen, configure and make runs fine and the build is done, make install throws up this error: Making install in po make[1]: Entering directory `/home/subash/ayttm/po' /bin/sh `case "./mkinstalldirs" in /*) echo "./mkinstalldirs" ;; *) echo ".././mkinstalldirs" ;; esac` /usr/local/share .././mkinstalldirs: .././mkinstalldirs: No such file or directory make[1]: ***[install-data-yes] Error 127 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/subash/ayttm/po' make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1 so i just copied the mkinstalldirs file from the previous cvs version i have, 0.4.6-24 and doing a make install gives this: test -z "/usr/local/share/ayttm/smileys/"Console Smileys"" || mkdir -p -- "/usr/local/share/ayttm/smileys/"Console Smileys"" /bin/sh: line 1: test: /usr/local/share/ayttm/smileys/Console: binary operator expected /usr/bin/ginstall -c -m 644 'aysmile.rc' '/usr/local/share/ayttm/smileys/Console Smileys/aysmile.rc' /usr/bin/ginstall: installing multiple files, but last argument, `Smileys/aysmile.rc' is not a directory Try `/usr/bin/ginstall --help' for more information. which is also repeated for every xpm file. my autoconf version =2.5.9 and automake-1.9.4. appreciate help. :) regards, subash |
