#1800 Discrepancy between AWstats and google analytics

We are using AWstats for our website stats. We used to get similar stats to google analytics until previous month. AWstats was showing around 1600 unique visitors every month while google analytics was showing 1900-2100.
This month we change Awstats to Awstats with SSL and suddenly it shows 6300 unique visitors while google analytics hasn’t changed. I wonder what is this discrepancy for?
