This bug can be easily replicated. Set menu to motion. Enter 15 into "motion menu duration". Change the menu to static. Enable audio. Pick a background soundtrack that is significantly larger than 15 seconds. Create the DVD. Your static menu will play sound for 15 seconds then fall silent. That's a bug.

Do the same test, but set "motion menu duration" to 60. Your static menu will play sound for 60 seconds then fall silent.

Its obvious that when enabling sound on a *static* menu, the sound is cut off at the duration entered in the field "*motion* menu duration". Unfortunately, one can not set the value in "motion menu duration" because that field is disabled when static menu is selected.

I reported this in bug 3131068, and even presented a solution, but that bug was closed. If the duration of the sound file on a static menu is not supposed to be based on the value in "motion menu duration" then you have a bug, because it currently is. If it is supposed to be based on that field, then that field needs to be enabled so that the sound duration on a static menu can be set.

Also, the person who closed 3131068 suggested that the sound on a static menu is supposed to loop. It does not. Again, the static menu goes silent at the duration displayed in the field "motion menu duration" and then remains silent indefinately.
