I'm trying to get VirtualDub to read a DV Type1 AVI
file through Avisynth2 using a one line script
(DirectShowSource("filename"))
It works... but I don't get any sound.
I've read in the documentation that sound isn't
supported yet when using DirectShowSource().
How about making DirectShowSource() handle sound as
well as video ?
Thanks

The priority of this one should be a lot higher, like something around
100.
In my opinion this is the only functionality that is really
missing in AVISynth. With this one added AVISynth would be the
ultimate full complete (add similar words of your choice here) video
editing software there is. Currently I'd but a "nearly" in front of that
;).
The other new stuff that is added now and then are nice-to-haves
(thanks for adding them! :) ), but frankly speaking not as important as
that.

I agree, this would be a very nice and useful feature and it
would be very nice of you if you could add it.

I'd also like to express my great interest in getting sound
support for DirectShowSource to work. Having this will make
most other editing programs obsolete.
