Hello, new release of avifile is made. Resolves mainly compilation issues and updates to the very latest ffmpeg.

Current CVS version of avifile-0.6 has improved
audio-video sync, so enjoy

Latest CVS version seems to be very stable
now. Users are adviced to upgrade from old
avifile-0.53 version

This version shakes out a lot of bugs (makes space for new ones :-)
and includes YUV-Overlay support (if your videocard and X can take it).
You heard right. Watch your favorite .avi (e.g. DivX) blown up to 1280x1024 without the slightes impact on CPU load.

Since I can imagine that his mailbox will be overflowing pretty soon I would suggest that patches and bug reports are submitted through sourceforge. This should keep the traffic on the mailinglist low.
