Can you try somehow the same board under Linux?

It's not that I wouldn't mind getting it running under Cygwin, 
but my first priority are unixoide systems (Linux, OSX, FreeBSD), 
because Windows users always could resort to Atmel Studio, while 
Unix users can't.
