I've installed trunk version thanks to this packet : https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/avarice-svn =>break is very quick! but stepping (s in gdb) takes ~2s About flashing over debugWire (solution to poweroff / on problem), it isn't very reliable compared to ISP. I get lot of mismatch error using avrdude. Using avarice seems deprecated. What is avarice command you used in order to flash using debugWire? Little by little debugging becomes possible thanks to your help... Many thanks.
