Till long time I see no changes in the avantfax, the latest changes was in 09.17.2010 "AvantFAX 3.3.3".

Yes, Avantfax is DEAD!
Since RHEL 5.9, it does not work anymore. Of course for newer php version, it does not work either.

Here is another Hylafax client which is no worse than Avantfax, but it is extremely difficult to install.

If you want me to do the nasty job for you, I can do it for you for USD199.00.

Include one RHEL 5.10 client and windows 7 client.

I hope its not, i've been playing with the setup for about 3 days and it seems to work really good on my debian VM with t38modem SIP trunk
