Here's a case that Bob found where we get a Null Pointer Exception:
vap+tsds:http://timeseries.org/get.cgi?StartDate=20031001&EndDate=20031130&ext=bin&out=tsml&ppd=1440&param1=SPIDR_AMIE-3-v0-SPASE-0

I need to track this down and give a better error message...

This returns nothing, when I'm expecting something:
