#1820 occasional failures of test033, where xticks aren't updated when printing a pngwalk
There are occasional failures (~10%) where one of the images of a pngwalk contains a plot without xaxis ticks. I revisited where I was looking at this before, and I realized I had never started a ticket.
Also I have code to check that there are ticks, and an explicit call to calculate them, and I put in a check to see that the problem was resolved in this case.
Discussion
I decided to have a look at this again, and I'd forgotten how I'd dealt with this in the past (with a kludge). Test test033 still fails occasionally, I think because there is a small amount of overlap. This seems to always be on May 2005.
test033 never misfires now, but now it's failing regularly, I think because the bottom trace isn't loading. Maybe there's a redirect which is not being sent.
