If someone is serious with authd, I'll hand over sourceforge admin rights for the project to them. The web site now officially declares authd dead, and the mailing list is finally shut down due to the spam headache and zero use.
Clearly, the documentation sucks. I doubt anyone can argue that. I'm preparing to start fresh on documentation and sample files now. I'm debating on the souce documentation format, but am leaning towards POD (perl) documentation since it can easily make .cat , .txt , and .html, and by extension we can turn the html into pdf.
Yes, I'm aware of latex, but I don't have time to learn latex *and* do the other stuff.
I've totally reorganized the source and renamed all public symbols to avoid name space problems. Also, autoconf/automake/libtool conversion all done, this is producing what almost looks like a release now. I need to validate that it still works (hey, it builds!), and add the samples so they get installed, then we'll have a new snapshot.
I'm currently waiting for the CVS tree to be imported from my existing work. Also, I didn't quite realize that the "job" posting was to more than just the authd group itself :-). I need to clean things up far more before a wide job posting goes out for the documentation. I can't really start on this until souceforge imports the current tree.
I'm in the process of getting authd developement moved to sourceforge. Hopefully this will provide better bugtracking, etc than what I can easily set up on auhd.org itself.
