#7 Metadata support / tagging
Would be great to be able to tag samples somehow. Currently it is possible to add samples to the Favorites category, it would be useful to either be able to write metadata to WAV files or to keep a database of tags rather than writing to the files themselves. Even if WAV file metadata is not widely supported, it doesn't matter as long as Aural Probe can read it. This would be very useful because a lot of samples fall into several categories, which may not be accurately reflected by the file name. Thank you!
Yeah I agree this would be nice - what kind of tags were you thinking? Is it mostly about the ability to manually exclude mismatches from categories after the initial scan, or were you thinking something richer like text-based tags so you can quickly search for samples or even create new tag-based categories? It's something I'll have to think about either way before I implement it as the UI considerations will be tricky.
