I wasthinking it would probably be best for the
teachers to add the students and not the other way
around. If I was a student failing algebra I sure
would not add that class to my schedule. Hate for mom
to see that. get what i am saying.
It wouldnt hurt to configure this either way for each subject. I
dont mind if students or teachers can manage their
enrollment. Once I am satisfied that all the places are filled I
can switch off option for student self enrollment.

I also would like to see this, but for a slightly different
reason - I want to go one step further and make all
discussions for the various classes private to each class.
The reason for this is there are some courses in my school
where the discussions are considered confidential, so _only_
students from that class should have access (and of course,
if a student can just "join" the class, there's no
confidentiality....)

that somebody published online. Works a treat but did some
odd stuff when a teacher added student names instead of
codes. We managed to later directly clean up the SQL
database. Any class administration patch needs to be kept
pretty simple to use..
