From Simon Bryan:

I have wvWare working enough to show all the text and
tables etc in a Word
document, but cannot get any graphics to load.
JPG's etc do not show at all, however drawings done in
Word show up as a
broken graphic icon.

I have installed: zlib. libwmf, libpng, freetype and
ImageMagick. They were
either installed from source with no errors or from an
rpm without error.

When i configure wv it all goes well until the last line:

configure: warning: libwv will not have wmf to png
support: see README

I have used the --with-xxx directives, even though
there seem to be no
errors in the configuration output. despite what the
error message says
README gives no clues whatsoever.

I have ensured that AUC is pointing to the correct
version of
wvWare /usr/local/bin/wvWare

I've added a utility to AUC CVS that will be compiled if
libwv is available. The utility converts the word document
according to AUC's needs so we don't have to keep messing
with the wvWare executable. This should solve most problems
with inline word viewing, but the user will still have to
configure and install libwv properly for it to work.
