When installing Tulip on x64 windows the web page seems to default to giving me the 32-bit installer. Three other users in our lab also got tripped up by the same issue. The users then complain Tulip crashes when loading graphs from our web service.
I'm not sure if the issue is incorrectly detecting the bit-ness of Windows on the client or if x86 is always the default for Windows. Please consider making x64 the default.
An image of the tulip webpage is attached. We all clicked the circled button.
Thank you, Tulip is a great tool.
Thank you very much for your report.
The sourceforge page does not provide any option to suggest a default
installer for x86 windows and another default installer for x64 windows.
We can only suggest a windows default installer; it has been updated to be
the x64 installer.
The installer configuration source code has also been updated
in the current svn code line (commit #10523) to add check and warn the user
when he tries to install the x86 version on a x64 system and vice versa.
