Unfortunately there is no way to tell if window will be getting focus when it is mapped or not. Normal policy would be to give it a focus. Another reason why this change should not be included is that you may want to start terminal BEFORE window manager and in this case ther will not be any way to focus it, and most likely you'll have trouble reading faded text in it. It's always better to have term not faded even thou if it is unfocused, then faded without means to unfade it :)
So I'd prefer to play safe and always start term unfaded.
Anyway thanks for trouble - I'll keep this patch here, and probably will add it to distro, in case somebody disagree with me.
