I have now tried using AstTapi a number of times over the past months, and while I think it's a great program, I simply cannot use it because it constantly freezes my system when I try closing outlook.
I am not now to outlook dialing. For year I have been using outlook dialing using a similar TAPI dialer driver that connects to my company's Ericsson's WebSwitch.
This driver has never causes a single problem in years and I wonder if perhaps one of its charateristics help.
When a call is placed, the Ericsson driver does not wait for call progress. It simply returns as ready to dial. Obviously if a call is already in progress it will beep in error, and do not place a new call.
I wonder if this mode may be implemented in the future as an alternative "no call progress" setting in AstTapi.
Best,
Alex
