It appears that ASTTAPI will only LOGIN to the Asterisk
Server after a reboot of the workstation.

Is there any other way to connect back to the asterisk
server?

Yes there is!

Have you tried to go to the TAPI settings page and reapply
the settings? That works for me..

Also:

With the lastest TSP-driver supporting Asterisk v1.2 from
Kirkham systems http://www.kirkhamsystems.com/asttapi
the problem might be solved.
Let's hope Clint at Kirkham systems uploads his source
codes to this page.
