Files without extensions implicitly excluded

1) If a file is excluded, there should be a reason. 2)The exclusion list should indicate which exclusion rule was used to exclude the file/directory from the search.
Are you searching for something within said file, or just searching for files (with no search text)?
Also, what is your File Types field set to when performing this search?
The exclusions should add what rule excluded them in the Details column, but if no search text is used, I would need to verify that one.

I run into the same problem when what I searching for is in a Makefile. File Types is set to Makefile,makefile,.mk. It always shows up as an exclusion with the details column reading File->Extension. I did discover that if I set File Types to * then I no longer have the problem. Does this mean I can't specify a specific filename without an extension?
