It would be usefull to have relevant absence codes in A@H.
When you go to lunch you pick up youre phone and dial
*23*1 1300#. *23*=Command absence 1=type of absnece
1300=time to be back. Under the lunch callers will
hear "The person att this extension is on luch, will be back
1300, please call later or leave a message". When time is
1300 the funktion will cancel, the phone starts ringing
normaly. And maybe you are back early you dail #23# to
cancel manual.
Other codes:
*23*2 1300# - temporary out of office back 1300.
*23*3 1400# - meeting, back 1300.
*23*4 0610# - business trip, at office 10th of June.
*23*5 0615# - sick, preliminary back 15th of June.

wouldn't it be easier to just change your voicemail greeting?

If you have a office with X employees, I think this is a faster
and more simple and more automatic, if you go on lunch it's
change back to normal function again after lunch. If you have
to change VM everytime you will forget sometimes, be on
lunch for a cupple of days or something.

Other platform I am farmilliar with simply offer a way to
change your "state". Based on your state the treatment
would differ.
Example: "On the Road" would result in the phone ringing
your follow-me numbers, or "at lunch" would result in
VoiceMail answering. The issue as I see it is the
implimentation would need to be easy to config via TUI ot
web client.
