    Hi!

I'm trying to use ASTAP for some time series photometry, and I use the latest version on both Windows 10 and Ubuntu 24. I'm working with W UMa and I have the target + 2 comparison stars in the field. I click on all three of them and then hit Play. In the AVSO results window then, on Ubuntu I get the target identified as target and the two comparison stars as such. On win, however, all three appear in the Target box.

So what am I missing? Is there a way to designate them as comparison stars while clicking? Or what is happening here?

    Hi,

The stars have no abreviation but are indicated by their position. So they are not found in the variable database. Why is unclear to me. Did you select the database down to mag 15 or 99?

Attach one FITS and I can have a look.
I'm travelling the next two days so could some days before I can reply again.

I get the three stars labeled correctly. Check the settings as red marked in the attached screenshot.
