I am trying to do a blind plate solve of my Milky Way photograph taken with 16 - 28mm F.28 Tokina lens.
I get 129 x 85 deg in FOV calculator. How do I add those number to the field of view calculator in the alignment tab?
In alignment tab you enter the height of the image. So for your calculated values 85.
Install and select the W08 wide field database.
Search radius 180 degrees.
If it fails to solve try setting max stars from 500 to something like 20 or 10 or 40 stars max.
Sometimes it helps to enter a higher or smaller FOV value then 85. So 110 or 70.
