ASTAP or HNSKY on HarmonyOS PC — has this come up before?

    Hi everyone,

I'm new here, so apologies if this belongs in a different thread.

My main machine is a HarmonyOS PC — Huawei's desktop operating system. It's
ARM-based, it isn't Linux, and it runs neither Win32 nor macOS binaries, so
none of the current ASTAP builds will run on it.

I looked through the forum first and didn't find anything about HarmonyOS, so
I thought I'd ask here: has this come up before? Is it something that might
be considered for ASTAP or HNSKY at all?

I realise it's a small platform and may well not be worth the effort — I just
wanted to ask rather than assume either way.

If it's ever useful, I'm happy to test builds on real hardware and post the
    results back here.

Thanks, and thanks for ASTAP and HNSKY.

    Hi Jiexuan ,

This question was never raised. HarmonyOS is not available for cross compiling. See attached. Maybe the android arm64/arch64 command line executable will work. The widget to get an application with a GUI interface working will be major task for an expert which I'm not.

People interested in astronomy tend to use the main stream operating systems since it provides access to many applications. But for example people working with the pretty popular MacOS have less choice then Window users. And for example I have never had any request for BSD operating system which seems to used for many other purposes.

Resume, I can not help you.

    cs, Han
