    Hi!

I've recently been unable to open image files for batch conversion to
bin 2x2 or for batch plate solving (version ß0.9.435, 64 bit, dated
2020-10-19, running on Ubuntu). The file chooser is simply empty when
choosing the folder whee the image files are. The images are standard
fits files, with the file extension .fits. I can easily open them by
choosing File - Load fits or other format, or by dropping them on the
ASTAP window. I've set the permissions on the image files to 777.

Is there anything wrong with the batch file chooser, or am I doing
    something wrong here?

    Magnus

    Hello Magnus,

That is weird. Have you selected in the file explorer * .fits files? See attached screenshot. You could also type * .* or * .fits.

    Clear skies, Han

    Hi!
Yes, feels quite weird. I have only one choice there, for file type, and that is .fit. There is no choice of . available.
I can, however, choose images with the file chooser for Batch solving, and from the same folder - so there it works as expected.

Screenshots attached from file chooser with Batch solve and Batch bin 2x2 in the same folder.

Any idea what I could check or try? Try another version of ASTAP?

I assume your using the Linux version. I will try later today the Linux version. Maybe I made a mistake in the code and it works only under Windows. Normally I work and test under Windows.

Does typing * . * help to see the files?

    Cheers, Han

      Hi!

Yes, Linux version. Nothing happens if I type . but if I type *.fits
(after navigating to a folder where the images are), the images turn up
as suggestions - meaning I can choose one of them, but no batch.

      Does that help?

Try version 0.9.468 just uploaded. I made a mistake with capital letter FITs extensions.

I found the problem in 0.9.467. The extensions where typed with capital letters. That doesn't matter in Windows but it matters in Linux. Try version 0.9.468. This version is corrected.

    Regards, Han
