The disk folder monitor is a great enhancement. I use it to iterate through collimation images from NINA (snapshot loop) while adjusting the optics. Using the 4corner HFR plot.
With some probability (estimated 1 in 4) ASTAP 'just stops' or does not process a new image. I can manage manually (just clicking on the start monitor button again) , but I am wondering if there is some factor involved to fix this?
Is there a time factor? Should I avoid for the new images to come in too frequently? (lately about one image per 10sec) Or is there a windows setting (Dell laptop with Win10 pro) to stabilize?
My chain of steps is this:
1. In NINA, push snapshot button for 5sec image
2. ASTAP should pick it up and do HFR 4corner analysis (if it doesn't' click on star button again)
3. Look at plot and think about it
4. Step to scope and tweak a collimation screw.
5. Come back to laptop and go to #1
Thanks & Clear Skies,
Gert

High frequency should not be a problem, but I will test it. There is always a possibility of a bug.
Try this version 2022-2-3.
http://www.hnsky.org/astap_setup.exe
I suspect the Nina is still writing when ASTAP tries to read the file. This version will continue even if there is an read error.
Tell me if this works.
Han
Hello Han,
Thank you! I will try it.
Thanks,
