Development is continued

After almost half-year brake development work in Phoenix project is continued. During this time I have significantly revised some concepts and ideology of the system. I had time to study some related research works which had changed my view on this project. Development work will continue with system design review and modification, implementation of Triton - language level C++ run-time library, kernel further development.

Temporal project suspension

The project was temporarily suspended due to other higher priority project. Hopefully the development activity in this project will be continued in July-August 2012.

Unit testing framework

EFI boot loader implemented

EFI boot loader was fully implemented recently. It the first functionally usable component in the Phoenix project. It is able to load specified ELF executable located anywhere in mounted filesystems, and pass command line parameters to it along with EFI system tables.

Code documentation

Starting from now Doxygen is used to automatically create code documentation. Documentation for the kernel will be available here: http://ast-phoenix.sourceforge.net/doxygen/kernel/html/

EFI boot loader skeleton created

EFI boot loader skeleton created using GNU-EFI (http://sourceforge.net/projects/gnu-efi/) project code as base. It is successfully running in Qemu with TianoCore EFI firmware.
