Hello Adupuis, i've found out, how to make a translation file. 1.) I changed association_subscribers_manager.pro (Added the german *.ts File) 2.) Made the File with lupdate 3.) Edited the File and translated all with qtlinguist. 4.) Added the German Translation into the AUTHORS File. 5.) svn add i18n/assuma_de-de.ts If i change anything in my own Project (siga) i can add a new file and send with svn ci --message "Anything" to the Server, and it goes successfully. If i add the *.ts File and go into the assuma Directory and make svn ci --message "Anything" then i must fill my Username and Password and the assuma.svn.*Server bounce me (Error 403 Forbidden). Maybe you must add me as Project Developer (like in google code)? Many greetings from Germany ... This one is a major bugfixe version and feature improvement of Association Subscribers Manager. I want to thanks particularly all testers and bug reporters that helps me make this version, particularly : Sandra Spadaccini and Max Buttjer. They helped a lot by testing the Mac OS X and Windows versions. They reported many bugs and helped a lot to improve some critical features like the custom fields. I also want to welcome a new contributor : Nicolas Lécureuil. He is taking care of the Mandriva package. As everyone may see there is a lot of French peoples that helped for this release, so this 3.2 version have a codename and it's all to their glory ! You will find another proof of my gratitude when you will launch Association Subscribers Manager ! You can download packages and installer at : https://sourceforge.net/projects/assuma/files/ You can report bugs and ask for new features at: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=211536 You can also visit the website for more information : http://www.associationsubscribersmanager.org Twitter live feed is at: http://twitter.com/#search?q=%23AssumaProject Here is a list of the main changes : Association Subscribers Manager version 3.2 - changes layout of the subscribers summary/subscribers edit zone - made little update to the default theme styles - modify the subscriber's tooltip behaviour : now when dues column are hidden, the tooltip do not show the warning about them anymore - modify the search widget to make it more customizable by allowing the select and search into any fields (regular or custom) - add Mac OS X support - add support for compressed XML (for postal codes only at the moment) - fix a bug with postal codes (application was asking to add postal code/city couples even if they were empty) - add support for custom fields' in-place custom editor in the main view - fix a bug in passive popup display (they were sometime bigger than the application) - fix custom fields problems fix translations Association Subscribers Manager is available as a source package (GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, BSD*, Windows, require a compiler), binary package for Linux, Windows and Mac OS X. Hi, Source package for the Association Subscribers Manager version 3.2 release is available for download on Sourceforge : https://sourceforge.net/projects/assuma/files/AssociationSubscribersManager/3.2/AssociationSubscribersManager-3.2.0.tar.gz/download Changes are available in the tarball in the CHANGES file. Author and contributor list are available in the AUTHORS file. Most noticeable changes from the user side are : - the previewer layout change - bugfixes - the huge change of the search widget - the main view tooltip behaviour change - lots of bugfixes On a packaging point of view, here are the main points : - the themes/ directory contains all themes - the images/ directory contains not themed images - the assuma_resources.qrc file is back to hold the spashscreen only (for the moment) - the data/ directory is still over important as it contains all required base data - I strongly advice to not compile assuma with its updater on GNU/Linux distribution as it seriously go in the way of distributions' own package managers As usual I will package the windows and static GNU/Linux versions. This release will see the first official build for Mac OS X too. I plan on spending some time with my wife before making the official release announcement so we can exchange on this one before releasing all other packages. Hi ! the next release of Association Subscribers Manager was initially planned to be the 3.1.1 one, bringing various bugfixes. But sadly no bugs have been reported, instead of that we've got 3 new contributors : - Nicolas Lécureuil from Mandriva who packaged Association Subscribers Manager for the wonderful Mandriva GNU/Linux distribution - Max from a French online association, who made lots of features suggestions and tests for the windows version - Sandra from a French Karate association who made tons of testing and reports for the Mac OS X version I would like to welcome them, particularly Nicolas since he is now "in charge" of the Mandriva package and that's a long term running task, into our team ! The point I am particularly happy with, is that their is many French contributions !! That's a pleasure to see that my software is being, slowly, used in my own country ^^ But all those leads to : - a reworked application layout - a brand new search widget - many changes in themes and some changes in the graphics behaviour So all those are far more than a patch level release, it's a new minor version. So be it ! Next release will occurs on the 2nd of April. There is many strings to update for the translation teams but not many new ones. It is mainly old strings a bit updated. This should not represent tons of work. As usual, please tell me if the delay is too short for you. Hi all, First, sorry if you received an empty message with the same object... I hit the wrong button a bit too fast :-) Then, one week after the Association Subscribers Manager v3.1 release, Sourceforge is putting us under the spotlights on their blog : http://sourceforge.net/blog/along-comes-association-subscribers-manager/ That's very nice of them and I wanted to thank everybody for the hard work. It is thanks to this work that Association Subscribers Manager is getting this kind of acknowledgment ! Best regards, -- Arnaud Dupuis http://www.infinityperl.org GPG id : 0xAC37E1B0 |

Hi, I wanted to send you an update about Association Subscribers Manager's futur. First, let me tell you that despite being a small project, Association Subscribers Manager is quite appreciated. It was downloaded more than 1400 times on Sourceforge wich is a not that bad result, particularly if you consider that Sourceforge is not the only source of download (there is also GNU/Linux distributions' repositories). It is also seen as a software with great potential and for this, the best example I saw was on Sascha's blog with Aaron Seigo : http://saigkill.wordpress.com/2009/09/15/association-subscribers-manager-assuma-3-0-1-packaged/ There is tons of very good ideas on Aaron's comment. This is all thanks to our hard work, thank you very much ! But, I am a former member of the National French Judo team, and I don't really like to live without greater objectives to achieve ;-) So there is further steps I would like to achieve, one of those is to keep the multiplatform aspect of Association Subscribers Manager while integrating it into the KDE framework. Discussions are already on their way with the KDE Extragear team to integrate Association Subscribers Manager as soon as the migration of the KDE SC's repositories to Gitorious is finished. Again, my first goal is to keep Association Subscribers Manager available on all platforms it already is. Talking about KDE, Association Subscribers Manager is part of the KDE Finance Apps group that aims at defining a common language, common translations, common data representations, and lots of cool stuffs amongst the KDE Finance related applications. There will be a first meeting this spring in Frankfurt. Last but not least, I don't know about you, but I found "Association Subscribers Manager" pretty long to write (not talking about the URL, I mispell it one time out of two), and unfortunatly Assuma is not really a good name either for many reason : * it is a common word in Spanish * it is a common word in French * more generally it might be a common word in many latin languages * it is the name of a pretty famous anime character (Assuma Sarutobi in the Naruto anime) Many reasons to not choose this name. So I think the next release will be the good moment to change the name of Association Subscribers Manager. I already though about "Kurabu". Kurabu is the Japanese pronounciation of the "club" word, so we stay in the field of the names that describes the features of the software (though less explicitly I must say). If you pronounce it with the Japanese accent it is said "Kulabu" and try to say fast enough and you get a "Klabu". I found this name pretty nice, Kurabu, and there is tons of nice graphical things to do with the kanji ! Wich means that we finally may have a nice logo :-) Do not hesitate to share your feelings about those futur evolutions ! Hi, sad news I have this morning : the 3.1 release is delayed until tomorrow (at minimum). Main reason is : there is multiple issues in the auto updater. So if I can find and correct all issues until tomorrow I'll release it tomorrow (if I can test it enough). The second reason is that for personnal reason I was not able to code this week end on Association Subscribers Manager. My apologies for this delay, I'll do my best to release it tomorrow. -- Arnaud Dupuis http://www.infinityperl.org http://www.associationsubscribersmanager.org gpg id : 0xAC37E1B0 |

Hi,
Everything is almost ready for the 3.1 release (except that taking my driving license in few days, I have not much time to write documentation) and thanks to everybody all translations but one are up-to-date ! Thanks everybody !
I'll do my best for the documentation but in the worst case I'll make a 3.1.{1,2,3} to fix bugs to come and to provide a better documentation.
Indeed I prefer to release an update 2 weeks after the 3.1 release than delay this release. Because it is quite awaited by our users !
I'll keep you informed.
Best regards and thanks again !

Hi, I just drop a quick email to give you a little piece of information : Marcio Moraes (Brazilian translator) found some typos in Association Subscribers Manager so I fixed them and putted corrected translation path on the SVN. Translators can get them via svn (svn update) or via the web SVN client at Sourceforge : http://assuma.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/assuma/trunk/association_subscribers_manager/i18n/ (click on your translation file, and then on "download") Please take care not to smash the work you may have already do ! Hi, the release dates for Association Subscribers Manager have been decided : 2010-01-25: first beta version (as usual, documentation and translation will not be up-to-date). 2010-02-01: second beta version (if needed only, unless huge bugs in important features are found, it is unlikely that their will be any second beta version). 2010-02-08: official release of the 3.1 version. Those dates and the Google calendar containing all events that are related to Association Subscribers Manager can be found at : * http://www.associationsubscribersmanager.org/news/releasedatesforthe31version * http://www.associationsubscribersmanager.org/road-map You can always found more by following Association Subscribers Manager's thread on Twitter. Hi, I recently committed lots of code concerning the custom fields mechanism (user defined input fields). As a widely users' desired feature it is my top priority to get this one working well. It took lots of time (much more than I initially anticipated to be honnest), and I think the 3.1 release will have less feature changes (custom fields and configuration rework are already to big changes, particularly from the UI point of view). Custom fields are almost fully functionnal, only the communication "main tree widget -> custom widgets" still needs to be implemented, and I am almost ready to issue a first beta version. I would like to hear from the translation team to know if it is realistic to have the new strings translated within 2 weeks ? To help you all answer here is the amount of untranslated strings in each language : assuma_en-en.qm 60 untranslated source text(s) assuma_fr-fr.qm 60 untranslated source text(s) assuma_pt_BR.qm 58 untranslated source text(s) assuma_ro.qm 181 untranslated source text(s) assuma_sv.qm 95 untranslated source text(s) Please keep in mind the fact that a lot of strings are not "new" but only moved from AssumaConfigWidget to AssumaAssociationSettings and Qt Linguist will recognize this, so the work is not that big ;-) As usual, I'll do a beta version release first (with translation in the state they are at that time), and then I'll wait for all translators that gave sign of life to finish their translation for the 3.1 stable release. Please let me know if the 2 weeks-from-now delay is good for you or too short, this way I can announce the upcomming release. Hi, first of all, I wish you all an excellent 2010 year ! Then, let's give some news from Association Subscribers Manager. Those who follows the SVN may know it : I made a massive code re-organisation. Recently I have done a lot of under the hood work, rewritting the system the different part of Association Subscribers Manager access the settings, making the work of packagers much more easy (I hope ^^), in short : improving the overall Association Subscribers Manager's quality. At the moment, the huge part is the "custom field" part. Custom fields are fields defined by user that can be used anywhere in the application. This is a highly requested feature and one quite difficult to implement... Anyway most of the UI is already developped and will need transaltion sooner or later ;-) My new year's resolution concerning Association Subscribers Manager is to keep this mailing list more informed with the progress of the development. Just as a reminder you can follow Association Subscribers Manager changes on Twitter (#AssumaProject or my own account : ArnaudDupuis) and on my blog at http://www.infinityperl.org/category/Association-Subscribers-Manager ! Hi, I made a new (small) documentation to gives packagers some hints about Association Subscribers Manager updated build process (of the 3.0.1 version). It is available online on www.associationsubscribersmanager.org, and the direct link is : http://www.associationsubscribersmanager.org/association-subscribers-manager-documentation-1/association-subscribers-manager-hints-for-packagers It is Google doc based, so if anyone cares to translate it in another language, just tell me, I'll share the document with you !
