Its a Win2k server running imail. sorry for the vaugness. I'm not versed in perl, but ASP and vbscripting I'm fairly fluent in. My plan is to have a app run once or twice a day and split the file, rename the old mbx file, then have my web based app allow the users see what mail was caught, and every 30 days or so purge messages. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ray Ellison" <Ra...@El...> To: <ass...@li...> Sent: Wednesday, February 04, 2004 3:56 AM Subject: RE: [Assp-user] spliting mbx files Hi Joseph, Can I assume that you want to actually parse the .MBX file itself? I cannot help you directly there, but I wrote a IMAP interface Perl script that would enable you to read the mesages from any mailserver and you could soon modify the Perl to sort them into other mailboxes/folders instead of delivering them to files as I do I guess. Let me know if youre interested. RGDS Ray -----Original Message----- From: Joseph Armstrong [mailto:jo...@ac...] Sent: Wednesday, 4 February 2004 7:01 PM To: ass...@li... Sent: Wednesday, February 04, 2004 3:22 PM Subject: [Assp-user] spliting mbx files I'm trying to write my own app so my users can go through and pull all the messages destined for them that were detained by ASSP via the web. My mail server stores the messages in one large mbx file. Has anyone seen an application that can separate these into individual files? Or maybe, copy them into sql server/access? You'll need to be a little more specific - OS, mailer etc. ------------------------------------------------------- The SF.Net email is sponsored by EclipseCon 2004 Premiere Conference on Open Tools Development and Integration See the breadth of Eclipse activity.
