This is normal and can't be changed.
Opened connection are nearly at no costs. You can check this - have a look 
at the memory consumption of mysql while assp is running, stop assp and 
have a look again.
But even if the connection count would matter - again, this can't be 
changed!

Hello, i use the latest ASSP version 2.6.2  *Fortress*  build 17362.
  I see at the MySQL Server that there are always 5-8 running MySQL 
connections open.
The DB´s are all InnoDB´s an coast a lot of memory. Is it possible to 
reduce the used connections?
