> Ohh, I had never heard of that DNSBL - thanks! a bit of caution is needed here; I tested the backscatterer list and sometimes you face false-positives or better said, the list includes some "legitimate mail server" which.. ok, may be sending bounces but which you don't want (or can't afford) to block; so, while using that DNSBL may help limiting the amount of backscatter you'll also have to carefully check the logs and apply whitelisting where needed; to better use lists like this one it would be cool having an option in ASSP to enter some "scoring only" DNSBLs; sure, you currently may setup ASSP to block only after "N" hits, but that makes somewhat difficult to setup things if you want to use a bunch of aggressive DNSBL along with the regular one, while having a separate "score only" DNSBLs list may ease things... but btw now we're OT |
