If I'm not mistaken then the problems you are having with the config changes not sticking is because you are not telling ASSP which base directory to use. If ASSP is installed in C:\ASSP then the command I would use to launch ASSP would be:- C:\ASSP\assp.pl C:\ASSP The second part of that line tells ASSP where to look for all its config information and where to save the changes.
